Treatment on the inputs?

Should I be printing treatments on all my instruments and vocal inputs (not effects but phase reverse, hi pass, comp, limiting and EQ) or should I go in dry with only desirable mic placement and gain staging. I do use some eq, comp and spatial plugins on the vocal channel inserts that can all be disabled during mixing….

Background noise?

Hi, I'm kind of new to this. I am recording audio and getting a constant sort of noise. I've included a sample where the noise has been recorded by itself.

I'm currently running a setup where the audio comes from a wireless Shure microphone receiver, to a live mixing console. A Presonus StudioLive 32.4.2AI mixing console. The console is used for live sound mixing.

Recording Live now with a horn section

I'm recording a band with a horn section, not too experience with horns especially in a live in the studio scenario

There's an sax, not even sure if it's an alto or tenor and a trombone. I did a rehearsal recording for them and used a 57 on each, it came out pretty well considering drums, electric guitar are blaring away as well.

recording live

Our worship band is doing a Friday night thing tomorrow and I am going to record it and I need to keep it simple. My plan was to use an m-s setup with an AKG 414 and one other mic( i have to see what I have over there). I probably won't be able to set it up very close to the stage. The style is sort of rock(guitars drums bass). The room is fairly large, with seating for probably 1500.
