Sony TC-580
I have done quite a bit of research on this piece and even though it is renown for it's horrible Auto-Revers mechanisms, I still wonder if it would be a good piece for me to start out my venture of analog recordings.

reel-to-reel tape
Hey, i'm looking to do an all analog recording session for my personal band's next session. i'm going to look at either renting or purchasing an 8 track 1/4in reel-to-reel recorder. though i'm unsure of what type of tape to get. what tape type and model should i look at. i understand its probably a thing of the past to do this.

Reel to Reel Question
So I have been interested in getting a tape deck for a while now. The deal on the AG-440s fell through, and I was very depressed for a few weeks...

SONY TC-765, is that a good Reel to Reel?
Hi,
I have the opportunity to have for cheap money a Sony TC-765 Reel to Reel.
It's a 1/4" tapes, 7.5 ips, 19 / 38 cm/s speed,
and you can put some 10,5 reels.

starting with analog...need reel-to-reel opinions
ive been recording into the computer for a while now. i would like to get a reel-to-reel deck to do some experimenting with but i am totally new to the medium. ive been searching ebay and there are quite a few options. i know it is a crap shoot when dealing with ebay but what are your opinions on the different cheaper ($100-$300) vintage decks out there?
