replacement

I'm looking for insight as to types of equipment to use for drum sound replacement/enhancement using mics in live settings.

Hello all,
I'm replacing my original TOA speakers, after 20+ years, and can't find any info on them as to impedance, etc.
Since I don't know anything about this stuff, could I pick your brains a little, to see what I should be looking for?

This may sound totally stupid/noob, but anyone here used drum replacer software?

Typically what I do is play 'real' drums to get the parts I want to play and then 're-record' them using MIDI triggers and sample libs. This is mainly because I don't have all the kit one needs to properly close mic a set... plus the set isn't that great.

I've had enough of M-Audio.
With the vista driver fiasco of 2007 on my firewire solo box, I thought I'd give them another try, so I bought a firewire 610 on the basis of "I need the extra sockets" and "maybe it's time to upgrade".

my drumagog stopped working and I've been having a lot of bugs with it
(latency and whatnot)

does anyone know any drum replacement plugins that do what drumagog do? I need something that can do the sample replacement and then also do the live replacement, if there is anything that does that.

So one of the knobs on my FMR RNP is has gone into the aether. I've sent an email to FMR, but have yet to hear back. Probably have to call during the week. Does someone know of a good source for small quantities of electronic parts? I've tried searching but I'm probably using the wrong name for what I'm looking for. These are 1/2" diameter knobs with a set screw on the side.

Great forum here. I am new to the forum. I figured you guys could help. I have some old OSA (old school audio) api clones and i want to replace the pots. Currently they have 10k, 1w, linear taper. The gain slope is weird with linear. Brent averill uses 25k log/audio. some people say to use 22k rev log.

I've got an old AKG LSM50 (the one that was based on the even older "Auratone") speaker on my bench, requiring a replacement driver.

Unfortunately, like the original, it's now obsolete and Harman/AKG can't supply a new driver.

The driver is actually a Goodmans 0M029, but Goodmans Spares have no record on their systems of ever having made the driver. :roll:
