I have the Maudio project mix and would like to replace the preamps! What pre's do you recommend that i should replace it with?

I plan on recording a CD soon and I'm considering sound replacing the snare and kick hits.

I wanted to record the rhythm tracks live and without a click; I don't know if I'll be able to make it work.

My set up would be

Kit:
Overhead Pair
Snare Kick
(Maybe rack and floor)

Bass
Rhythm Guitar

The treble amp of one of my BM6A is damaged, producing a very annoying harsh sound. Support has not help me, arguing that they do not hear any saturation (shame on them !).

So I need new monitors ; but this is also an opportunity to get better gear than BM6A :P

Currently I own a sub (DA BM9S).

I'm thinking of retiring a rack full of venerable Crown amps (VZ5000, 3600 & 2400) and replacing them with something a bit more modern, such as MC2: http://www.mc2-audio.co.uk/

Is there an easy way to replace drums in pro tools? I am doing a session right now, but can't afford the sound replacer plugin . I have a great kick sample i would like to replace/mix my original with. Any tips?

Hey I'm wondering what kinds of interfaces (converters,really) people are using along iwth their HD core cards...other than the digi stuff.

anyone used the lynx? Apogeewith the x card?

i've been thinking about saving myself some money by replacing the stock 12AX7 tube inside my $80 preamp with a better tube. (i think i ran across the bnb tubes site in one of these forums).

is this something slightly common? would it be worth it? would i get myself a more pleasing sound or a bad electrical shock?

I've been tracking/mixing with Alesis Monitor Ones/RA100 for a few years, and I'm tired of the less than stellar reproduction.
Does anyone consider KRK V8's be a step up?
I mix folk/rock/pop etc. on Cubase/Wavelab with a Delta 66 card.

my weakest link in my home studio is my Behringer mixer which I use only to send the signal from my soundcard to my main monitors (active tannoy reveal)

I'm thinking on replacing the mixer, is there anything like a small mixer or a small device will do this with high quality ?

Whoe knows how or can get me a link? I've searched but can't find the info!
