where do you roll-off the lows on a final mix?
To the entire RO community, all replies welcome and encouraged...
"Typically" speaking...
On your mixes, do you use HP, Shelving, or... nothing at all?
(And I'm referring to the master stereo bus, not individual tracks, or sub-groups/ buses.)

Roll Off Frequencies
Hi, I'm a producer making a style of music smilar to drum and bass and i was wondering what frequency i should be rolling my basses off.
When i roll of at 50hz i get an increase in headroom which makes a better mix
but
when i roll of at 30Hz my Yamaha msp5's show a noticable difference in the bottom end, it sounds more full.

LF Roll Off In Mix
Hi,
I know this is a terrible idea but Im an amateur trying to master my own songs. Anyway, when I play my mixes on large speakers (B&W 603's), I often here a lot of unwanted stuff going on down low.I record with Mackie HR 624's. To get to the point, would it be the done thing to roll off the low frequencies in the mix, and if so where do I cut?
Thanks
Derm
