Im looking to get a mac notebook with Intel Core 3 Duo, 1GB DDR2 memory, 120 GB harddrive.

Is this enough to safely run with MAudio project mix, Pro Tools M-Powered, and reason at the same time? I will be recording the 8 inputs at the same time.

Should I get more memory?

Hey everyone, been researching this last night and today.

The AT 4050 seems cool but I already have a multipattern mic(AKG perception 400)... so my main question is, is the 4040 the same thing just without multiple pickup patterns?

Plus, what is the general opinion of the T3 vrs the AT mics?

thanks

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my post.
I am looking to start up my own little studio in my home, vocals, guitar, bass and drums perhaps a little down the road.
I would like a midi port for keyboard.
I have looked into a bunch of interfaces, the mbox 2, Tascam 1641, the Tascam 1082 and the firebox.
I cannot nail it down to a single one.

Whats up everyone.

I am in the process of remodeling my home studio. not quite remodeling, more like finally taking the next step.

as of now all i have is a Lexicon Omega, some crappy mics and Cubase LE.

BUT... i've finally built up the courage to spend a decent amount on stuff.
