Has anyone tried the new PreSonus Studio Channel? I currently have a PreSonus Eureka and think its great. Just wondering if anyone has hands on experience with the Studio Channel?

Trying to move recording to the comp. At least vocals. Anyone know the proper setup for this combination. Transport buttons work. Sliders seem to work no I really don't think its hocked up properly. I am familiar with midi pedal controllers. Do you have to set up each control like that or is there a academic setup that will get me familiar.
I have a pair of decent headphones as it stands right now, they were about 50-60 bucks a few months ago. They are consumer phones, and do not provide flat (or anything near it) response. So rather than dropping 500 on a pair of KRK 8's at this time, I am looking to upgrade my phones. Looking to spend around 200, hopefully less.
FYI for those who haven't heard yet, PreSonus has launched their DAW at Musikmesse called Studio One, definitely one to watch out for..

In Sonar 7 Home Studio, how do you use the Studio Drum Kit? I'm trying to figure out how to playback my song and record a drum part using the soft synth studio Drum Kit, but I have no idea how. I'm a noob at this, so please help me.
Since being in the market for a pair of monitors, I am beginning to assemble quite a list of simple-yet-important questions.
So, I am using my dell inspiron 5150 laptop, cakewalk home studio 2002, my Tascam us-144 audio interface, and an mxl 990 for vocal recording my sound card in my laptop is a sigmatel audio sound card. My issue is after I lay down the acoustic guitar track and I go back to record vocals. Well, like the title states, I have latency issues.
I'm wondering if I could build something to help with power conditioning, cleaning up hum/ dirty power for my project studio. Does anyone have a solid design or know of a kit that I could make that would work excellent?
Any suggestions would be great.

I'm trying to get into music again... and I realized how crappy the quality of sound I get from my build in computer speakers. I was debating whether to buy a professional recording headphones like:
