I'm planning on building a Windows based system to mostly run Sonar 8 producer for audio production in home. I am planning on mostly using it for recording of live instruments and mastering, but I will do a bit of MIDI production too. What would you guys recommend for the CPU, motherboard, Ram, High capacity Hard Drives, case and power supply?

I have a dilemma. I love recording music but I am constantly moving to different houses. I was wondering if it would be worth while to maybe convert a large trailer into a home recording studio.

The dimensions of the trailer would be at least 8x24'. I would be able to tow the studio to where ever my next destination would be and leave it in the backyard.

When Micing a singer/guitarist, and perchance say that you are using an SM58 for the vocal mic, how would you position the mic to the singer? I sing straight into the mic with the back pointed at the amp to take advantage of the null zone of the cardioid pattern. But I always get better tone when I retrack it later holding the mic under my lips.
