Finally got my hand on cash enough for a pair of monitors (and a soundcard!).

This is what i have zeroed in on... u guyz WILL have to tell me what to go in for, cause the option of cheking out these myself does not exist. also no chance to A/B them or to return them.

My situation

How do you get audio to sound pro studio CD ready quality. I do the mixing right, i play all the parts right, and I master with all the best plugins, but then i have noise issues and problems hearing other parts in the mix I need help with panning these parts and/or using some of these plugging s i have to touch it up to sound great

1) I'm making a record that I'd like to sound like an old 70's soul/R&B Vinyl LP. Outside of pop and crackles (and within Pro Tools), does anybody have any suggestions to create that effect?

I'm new to this site and I'm already excited about all the help that's available to me.

I'm a recording.org newbie and I'm specifically searching for some tips on a DAW PC that looks appealing. Most of the stuff I've been doing is live 2 track and multi-track, but I'm trying to put together a DAW that I can take out to do live location mulitracking.

Going to put together a DAW system this month. Anyone want to take a crack at best (e.g. flexibility/sound/value) components--e.g. motherboard, processor, HDs, Interface, case/power supply, etc--for approximately 2000.00 U.S.? I had planned to do this about a year ago, but bought a Korg D1600--Gets limited fast. Starting from scratch. Thanks.

Hey guys, I am curently in the market for atleast a 16 channel mixer for recording purposes only. Want something with decent mic preamp's, direct outs, tape in's, atleast 4 aux sends. Not sure if I want to go digital, might not be in my budget. Looking to spend 1k to 1,500.
