Shure KSM27 Problems
I bought the Shure KSM27 with high hopes but I ended up hating it. So now Im selling it on eBay but I want to know if Im really doing the right thing.
On top of that, I think I downgraded my gear thinking I would get a better sound.
I used to have an ART TPS and now I have a Rane MS1. I used to have a CAD E100 and now I have the KSM27.
So I have three questions.

Has anyone ever used a Shure KSM27 Condenser Microphone?
anyone used one?
my bandmate is interested in buying one.
i believe he will use it for tracking vocals, maybe some drum overheads, and for acoustic instruments.
i read reviews, and so far it looks like a really solid microphone.
thanks in advance, guys.
Fuller and slightly darker than a KSM27?
Hi there
My band and I have a Shure KSM27 LDC Mic.
This being a fairly bright mic, I was wondering if anyone could suggsest another LDC which is considered to be fuller and darker coloured in comparison to the KSM27. I'm looking for something around the same price as the KSM27 or with a price ceiling as high as £400/$500.
Can anyone offer some opinions?
LiD

KSM27...
I did a search on here, and it seems like there's been debate on the usefulness of this mic.
Unfortunately, I didn't do this search until after I purchased a barely used one for 90$ on Ebay -- I had just seen reviews before. Worth it? Or should I maybe find somebody to sell it to and get a better mic?

I wondering about what kind of preamp could enhance the performance of a Shure KSM 27 for vocal recording? Possibly can be used to do some brass also. Right now Im using a Tascams Fw1884 phantom power...
Anny suggestions?

Cracks and Pops with a Shure KSM27
I'm experiencing a wide variety o fuzzy noises with a KSM 27 from Shure. I've got another two condenser mics, and they don't show the same symptoms, although they are part of a drum mic collection from Sampson. Any tips on what could I'll be doing wrong when recording with this mic.

KSM27's as overheads?
i bought a (large diaphragm condeser) KSM27 and a marshall 603s (small diaphragmed condenser) to record acoustic guitar.
i heard from a friend and an employee at Guitar Center that 2 KSM27's would make "amazing" overheads for drums, any one use them as OH's and if so, good results?
