muscle relaxers for singers
Does anyone know of a pill that helps loosen up the muscles a little bit? I've been thinking this might help to warm up the vocal cords. Just a thought.

Singers + piano
Dear masters, I come again to seek your advise. I'm approaching two new situations.
1) Soprano + alto + piano. They are trained and capable singers. The place will be a stone church, reverberant, not very large (ca 12 x 25m). I've never recorded so few singers before... I have access to omni, cardiod, and switchable pattern mics of reasonable to good quality.

Overhead mic suggestions for a group of singers
Hi
I am currently wanting to mic up 2 groups of 5 singers each and have 2 Samson CO2's
Are these OK for the job, or does anyone recommend anything better for around £50 per mic ?
Thanks
Mike

monitor mix for singers who hate headphones?
hey I have seen singers(James Hetfield of Metallica) in the studio tracking vocal takes without head phones and I want to do thid for my singer as well. he says the phones make him a little more uptight and to have a set of speakers playing at him would make it feel more like the band is in the room with him.

Vocal mic for opera singers
Has anyone here ever recorded opera singers and can recommend:
a good mic $1500-2500 range and a pre at same range
Harmonics in the opera voice is a fundamental characteristic to the sound and I wouldn`t want these overtones to be compressed. Any specific mic used as a preference. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Remigio

Singers, cant live with'em - uh, whats with the rubber
So I JUST did a demo for a band. Just a quick two song thing, couple hours out the door, bye. Two nights ago I led the singer into the iso booth to do his vox. He could not grasp the concept of staying within 5 feet of the mic. He literally would whisper at two feet and shout at two inches, and insisted he was not conscious of his actions.
