SONAR RME Audio Digi96/8 pad, reducing latency
Hi, Im not so new to the world of recording but relatively new to recording using a PC.
Im using a 2GHz Celeron with 512 MBs RAM kitted out with a RME Audio DIGI 96/8 PAD card (and a SBLive 5.1 gamer which I run all the system sound through).
Im using Sonar 2.2 XL and ASIO drivers (as SONAR has issues using WMD with the RME audio card)
Help with DXi recording in Sonar!
I am having trouble with DR-008 in Sonar. I can play the synth real time with my keyboard without any problems. Also, the synth will play back midi data perfectly.

Has anyone successfully loaded a PT project into Sonar?
I have a project coming up and I'm tring to figure this out.
If I recieved the project on CD or on a hard drive saved as OMF files, how would I get them into Sonar?
I don't think my Pc is gonna read a Mac formated disk.
Whats the trick?
Thanks!

Upgrading / SONAR or SONAR XL
People,
Finally upgrading from Cakewalk's Pro Audio 9 to SONAR (I know, I know); & need to make a decision as to whether or not to go with SONAR, or SONAR XL.
The reason I ask is: I will also be picking up (as part of a total PC studio upgrade) Steinberg's Wavelab; & iZotope's Ozone 2, so as to have a decent mastering setup...

sonar- keeping audio tracks separate
I'm a newbie.. and just trying to lay down some tracks at home with sonarXL. How do I add a new track that doesn't pick up sound from previous tracks. When I add new track with new instrument I hear the previous on the same track.
Don't flame me. I'm new to this .
Thanks for any help that might come my way.

Can I start/stop Sonar Live with a guitar pedal?
Hello,
OK, I tried asking this question in the "MIDI" forum, but haven't gotten a clear answer in over a week so I thought I'd try here.
Is it possible to start/stop a sequencer with my Boss GT-3 guitar fx foot pedal? I'd like to be able to do this for live applications. I know I can start and stop a sequencer with midi, but can a guitar fx pedal control this?
Q10, Sonar Soft Synths and Midi
Do I even need to remind you guys that I am new to all of this any more?
Here are my questions. Sonar up and running on nice DAW with 2 Q10's. The Q10's have MIDI ports, the keyboard we have is a casio home piano type with two 1/4" outs (L/R) and a midi in and a midi out.

Nuendo, Cubase, Sonar - multitrack recording for a newbi
I'm not sure what I should be looking at. I want to be able to record guitar and possibly some drums and vocals. Which will give me "bang for the buck" ?
I plan on running my PODxT guitar preamp via USB
