Qualities:

"Direct" - there aint no bogus 'veil' across it, this ain't no 'this-will-have-to-do' sound..

"Big" - big sound, great mid control - WITH BALLS -we are talking 'improvement" not 'sound destroying' boost.

What's the deal on this thing? I'm co-engineering a CD-recording of my friends band at a studio that has it. (This is the first time I do this, I mostly mix live and fool around on a VS1880 standalone...) The engineer/owner told me it's equipped with Apogeeconverters and prefers it over his pro-tools system (4x882I/O and MOTU timepiece).

I'm considering a purchase of the new Sony DMX-R100 and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on it? Thanks.

Cant wait! look to be a month or two delay in the release. Now expected mid Summer. Compressor, a few moths after that..
