How to get audiophile sound quality with durability?

For a long time I used a pair of Pro Energy 22 speakers in my studio because the sound quality was neutral but outstanding. Well, all it took was one instance of mic feedback to blow out the tweeters. Which has me thinking now. . .how to I get studio monitors that are durable but also have the sound quality of a fine home audio speaker? Does such a thing exist?

Possible to improve sound quality for on-hold audio (G.711)

Forums

We produce message-on-hold programs featuring music and voice-overs. We used to always use external players that connected to phone systems using an RCA connector, and they sound great. Now, several of our new clients would like to use their phone system's built-in on-hold capabilities.

Need better sound quality for piano recording

Hi, I'm trying to record myself playing the piano, but all I have is a Nikon Coolpix Camera, with 8-bit 7***hz mono sound. If you want to see what I did until now, check out DrAsik100 on Youtube, that's me.

I'm not too difficult on sound quality, but if at least I could record in 16-bit and get a 14khz range it would be a lot better already.

Would a pre-amp help my sound quality get better?

Right now I have a Behringer XENYX 802 mixer and an AKG Perception 100 large diaphragm condenser microphone and it's goin through my computer. I was wondering if I bought a preamp if it would boost my sound quality up any? I have good quality now BUT I was recording in a studio that was top notch equip.

Sound quality of 1100 kbps WMA lossless vs 24/192 PCM ?

Forums

Hi to everyone,

I would appreciate your opinions in the issue of that high rate lossless wma sound. Is that comparable to a normal 24/192 pcm Wav?

Asking this only for curiosity. I am not familiar with that wma, but I am a little bit suspicios against the claims I happened to hear that they should be comparable.
