Software and sound quality differences?
Ok...I was just reading a post where a guy said that Cubase SX sounds like crap compared to Logic. That made me start asking myself.
If I were to take the same wav or aiff and import it into two different programs. would one sound better?
If so, which PC based program sounds best?

Getting A Better Sound Quality
I have my mic hooked up through my mixer, and my mixer is connected to my computer. I have tried diff volumes, and right now I have gotten the best sound from turning the main vol almost all the way down and turning the mic volume all the way up. I have gotten a pretty good quality from that and if you have any better suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Is this microphone similar in sound quality
Hello, I bought the TLM 103, not very happy with the sound and I was thinking about selling it and buying two less expensive mics...
I want a tube mic and a valve mic.
My choices after research were the RODE NTK and the CAD M9. any thoughs or advices on my crazy ideas "(for some people)" are welcome. .

What factors dictate the sound quality of a soundcard?
This may seem like a really dumb question but I'll proceed anyway, if the sample bit rate etc. is the same for soundcards can one card have an inherently better sound than another in terms of bandwidth, seperation, clarity etc?
Monitors vs. . headphone sound quality
I have just recorded two CD's for clients. One is vocal with piano and the other is solo piano. Both were recorded with Steinway B's.

Nickelback "The Long Road" sound quality?
Whats everyones thoughts on how the new album was recorded and how it sounds. Is this the joy of analog? I read an article on the album and read that they were using HD but no word of any tape machines. Sounds like it was tracked to tape then dumped in. Please give me your opinions!

What makes the most improvement in sound quality?
Ok, I've done a lot of research and talked with a lot of people on these forums for gear advice and have now narrowed it down to my final decisions on what pieces of gear to purchase. The only problem is that I can only purchase 1 or 2 items at this particular time. So I was wondering, which piece of gear should I purchase first, that will improve the quality of my recordings the most?
