Hi there,
The details:
I am in the throes of building my one room studio. The shell is already built and I'm now working on the inside stuff.
Approximate interior dimensions AFTER inside walls built:
Length: 23'
Width: 16'
hey all! I'm very excited about this so I figured I'd share! I created another thread a while back specing out some top level stuff, don't worry it's still coming... As life would have it what I thought was $800 in car repairs, was actually a totaled '03 Honda Civic instead. I'm obviously not a mechanic lol. So long story short my 15k setup is going towards a car.
I think I posted this once, but seeing it again, I couldn't resist.
Bryan Adams studio has one of those 4 Neve's. I have a nice picture of me sitting at it.
Did anyone here see that movie?

I just got these violin tracks from a remote recordist. They obviously weren't recorded in the most ideal way, and I'm trying to figure out whether they will be useable or if they will need to be re-tracked.
What AT 40 series mics do you recommend and for what? My requirements are mostly based around vocals, guitars and other stringed instruments but this thread isn't just about me. Thanks for any suggestions and the support towards Audio-Technica.
So I am thinking about investing in a new mic or mics but have quite a few questions.
So I am looking to pick up a new microphone for the use of recording male & female vocals. (Primarily male and mostly acoustic style tracks but also some EDM vocal tracking.)
I am also looking to pick up a new mic to record acoustic guitar.
I borrowed this from the DUC. I hope it makes more sense than I do at explaining things. YMMV as does each DAW. I do NOT mean this as a directive to send anyone towards Pro Tools as a choice of their DAW. Since this method was taught to me it has opened up my mixes and made my work flow somewhat easier with drastic results.
