Hey everyone!new to this forum...this might sound like a real stupid question but i need to know.Now,if i have a Tascam DM 3200 mixing console with firewire,do i still need a good soundcard or the one on my PC is good enough?how does it work?any help would be much appreciated..thanx... :?

I'm considering basing my project studio around the DM3200.
Anyone have any thoughts, suggestions or advice on this desk?

i ve been lookin @ this thing for a few days now, and was wondering is it worth it. Does the 01v96 give it a good run for the bang in the buck section for hookup to the RME9652.

HI guys, I recieved my Tascam DM 3200 in good order.

I also purchased a IF-FW/DM FireWire Interface Card. I have been on the Tascam's website and was made to understand that DM3200 do not support the IF-FW/DM FireWire Interface Card. At least not at present

My aI'm is to use the DM3200 as an Audio interface with my PC. Via the firewire card.

I'm currently on the lookout for a new mixer. As I have a digi002 and not that much outboard gear, I'm aiming for a digital mixer with integrated eq's and dynamics.

I have yet to find some basic info regarding the compatibility as a DAW controller of the DM3200 and a Pro Tools Setup. I have a 002 Rack and will eventually move over to the HD systems as money allows. However, is it enough to purchase the FireWire card and plug directly in and with a few configs the DM3200 will play nice with Pro Tools? (Ver. 6.4 Currently). Anyone use this setup?
