Hey guys. Little home studio question. I'm running with Cubase SX on a PC, with a PreSonus Firepod, a couple xml 603s condensor mics for acoustic guitar, and a Shure ksm27 for vocals. I'm in the market for a two channel (or two one channel) preamp. I was originally thinking to buy two single channel PreSonus Eurekas, but a few people have been steering me towards the two channel Trident s20.

I'm borrowing a Trident S20 for a few weeks, and I just hooked it up. I've been comparing it to my Brick and my Tascam FW1884 pres, and I actually think it's pretty good.

I was recording at home last night and had to switch from my Trident S20 to a Digi 002 Rack simply because of too much noise.

I see a lot of posts involving the "right" mic preamp, and I haven't seen any mention of Trident gear.

Calling all Tracking Brains...

Is anyone familiar with the Trident S20 Mic Pre?

Have a chance to pick one up; & couldn't seem to find much info on the web at all (save for the fact that they are designed by John Oram.)

It sounded great...fat like a tube pre but with a lot of clarity & detail up & down the band.
