For the last seven years i had operated a DIGI 001 on Win 98se with a negligable amount of problems, and no pop-ups (well...hardly any!) when browsing the internet...I'm currently doing some songs which need to be converted from PC to Mac format to be transferred and mixed elsewhere -and therefore i have been forced to upgrade my Pro Tools from v5.01 to 6.4 and also my OS too.

Funny, but Waves requires me that I pay U$1600 to upgrade my TDM Bundle II to go Accel/MAc Pro compatibility. It cost +-U$1200.

They just stopped selling the TDM Bundle II product and force me to go GOLD, which I do not need.

Long story.. a little shorter--

I realize that this might be considered by some to be a question about semi-pro gear, but I want to make it clear to anyone working for the IRS that this is definitely a question about pro gear. Most of my "most profitable" work comes from recording singer-songwriters or contemporary Christian artists.

I play guitar and sing and like to record myself just for the hell of it. I use my laptop's mic, input jack with Nero Wave editor and I plugin the cheapest PC mic ever. No brand name and it crackles and rattles if you touch it while recording.

DAW: Cubase SL

Right now, I have a pretty decent studio already... I have a 12 track mixer going through my audio interface, and have all my instruments mic'ed up and use Sonar 5...

But Im thinking of adding a few more things to get a better sound out of the studio. But I'm not really sure where to start.
