Description
If you hear somebody talk about valve, they're the same as tube. “Valve” is an English term, while “Tube” is an American term. They both refer to the vacuum tube/valve in an pre-amp/amplifier/microphone. A valve amplifier or tube amplifier is a type of electronic amplifier that uses vacuum tubes to increase the amplitude or power of a signal. Low to medium power valve amplifiers for frequencies below the microwaves were largely replaced by solid state amplifiers in the 1960s and 1970s.

Recording Valve Amps - Query?

Hi, I read somewhere that with most any valve mic's that the longer you leave em to warm up - the better they sound. I'm talking MUCH better!

and that 3 hours minimum was suggested even overnight if possible.

Now - I was wondering if this is true of Valve Guitar Amps too?
My marshall tsl602 suggests 3 minutes warmup time before playing..
