Unusual valve unit before tranny amp
Hi,I'm new here,so first of all. .Hello.
Just been digging around some recordings I started a few years ago and I've found the most terrific sounding late sixties/70's Rolling Stones type guitar sound I've ever heard outside of "Honky Tonk Woman" and similar,it's that good (I wish everything else I'd recorded was),works in mix not just solo.

Alternative to the Brauner Valvet?
Haven't been here in a long while, had to bookmark it. I am sure everyone is still happily recording as am I. I am in position to finally move on a top shelf tube mic, I have everything else I CARE to own at the moment. I would like your experienced views as to which mic I might consider buying opposed to the Brauner.

Tube/Valve compressor
Hi,
in my home studio, I am ready to take the leap from using compressor plugins to buying a decent 2 channel tube/valve hardware compressor.
I have around £500 ($1000) to spend and need something that would be a good allrounder (vox, bass, drums, guitars). Something that is also ok to run stereo mixes through would be an advantage.

peavey valve king 100W head
I was out replacing an old crate head and cabinet the other day and I must have spent 4 hrs in a few different stores and tried out anything 50W and up. Anything and EVERYTHING!

Neumann u47/valve mics question
I am currently looking for a really nice mic to invest in. I would like to keep the price low but for nice I know that really isn't a option. I used a mic at a friends studio a while back for synths and vocals called the Neumann u47. It was made somewhere around the 50's. I am trying to find something of similar variety. Does anyone happen to know anything about RODE mics?

Valve Mic or dynamic mic for home studio
I have a groove tubes 67 valve mic that I use in my small home recording studio. I also have a groove tubes 'The Brick' tube mic preamp which I also use as an instrument D.I. The acoustics in my studio are not very good I need to add.

Samson C-Valve versus PreSonus TUBEPre
Looking for a good but inexpensive microphone preamp for both acoustic steel and nylon guitar as well as vocals, just for home recording. It seems that everyone gives PreSonus good reviews, though there tube needs frequent replacement. Just wondering what people think about the Samson C-valve. Technically, it seems to do everything the PreSonus does, but it also sports S/PDIF outputs.
