Should we be buying cameras instead of microphones? Is YouTube completely swamping audio recordings? We at least have to ask the question. Had a wake up call today. One of my bands decided to cover Hickory Wind. Standard thing now - pass around the links to a bunch of YouTube versions to get some ideas.

I just finished this video, using Pro Tools, Final Cut Pro. Any other questions on my recording chain etc, let me known.

With the Gen 3 i5 3570K cpu comes HD 4000 video
So on my new DAW build does it behoove me to not run a separate video card ?
In addition to being the main DAW for the new studio,
there will be some video work and rendering etc done on this machine for soundtracks, videos etc.
But No CG or other extreme stuff.

I'd like to add a 3rd display to my Windows XP setup (Intel Q8400 MSI mobo). Obviously, don't need hi-res since it's just DAW. I have a Radeon 2-head and tried activating the mobo's on-board VGA adapter for the 3rd display and it didn't show up.

Wondering if the i5 2500k Gen 2 chip which has on-chip gpu will affect daw performance when using this gpu instead of a separate video card ?
In terms of temps and speed since it does sit within the same die.

Along with Cubase 5 for audio I would be doing some infrequent video rendering but only at a pro-sumer level.

Hi, i just wondered if it was possible to use an iphone 4s to video a bands live performance using a main out from the desk for the audio? (i have bought a 1/8" stereo jack to 2 1/4" mono) but not sure if this would work by connecting to the iphone's headphone input. (like i said, a complete newbie ;-) )
