With the Gen 3 i5 3570K cpu comes HD 4000 video
So on my new DAW build does it behoove me to not run a separate video card ?
In addition to being the main DAW for the new studio,
there will be some video work and rendering etc done on this machine for soundtracks, videos etc.
But No CG or other extreme stuff.

I'd like to add a 3rd display to my Windows XP setup (Intel Q8400 MSI mobo). Obviously, don't need hi-res since it's just DAW. I have a Radeon 2-head and tried activating the mobo's on-board VGA adapter for the 3rd display and it didn't show up.

I'm concerned with which type of video card will work well for audio software, such as smaart live (may be the most intensive on video?), nuendo, wavelab etc. I am looking into some lenovo notebooks, many of them have the nvidia quadro nvs. card, will the 140 model be good for these applications.

I finished assembling my new DAW last night and I have a part I need to return (bought a ball bearing "silent" 80mm fan but ended up buying a case with a 120mm fan already installed). They don't take returns, so I have to exchange.

I have a 64 meg card that keeps giving me the hardware buffer error. Looking for a 128 one cause i think thats the problem. have no probs with my 128 meg with single display.

Hi, does anyone know why when I just installed a new Matrox G450 card, that now my firewire card does not work. Both my external hard drive and audio interface now do not connect to my computer. Any help is greatly appreciated.
