Behringer Xenyx x1222usb - Computer audio volume control on the mixer?
I record a podcast and I recently got the Behringer xenyx x1222usb to record myself and some friends. I plug the board into my PC, using Adobe Audition.
Volume Control Question.
For my setup, I have the sound going from my sound card directly into an external amplifer via rca cable where my monitors are connected (passive monitors).

Volume control for Active Speakers
I'm looking for an analog volume control knob to put between my Firewire soundcard (MOTU 896mk3) and Active monitors (Focal Twin6)
I don't want to just lower the volume in my DAW or on the soundcard because it'll reduce the bit depth resulting in a lower quality signal at the DA stage of my soundcard. I'd like to keep all 24bits in use.

Audio Interface "volume" controls...
Hi,
Are the monitor volume controls on external USB 2/Firewire audio interfaces passive or active?
And, equally importantly, is the volume controlling the source digitally?
I'm following up on an enquiry I made to to two hardware manufacturers. I only have a reply from one so far, and this really frustrating.

monitor volume control
hey everyone-
just picked up a pair active monitors, and am looking to build a simple passive volume control for them. Running 1/4" balanced TRS out of my interface into the monitors currently. Don't want to use the software master faders, as I'll lose the all important bit-depth of my digital audio when I have the fader dialed down...

link midi volume controller to pitch knob on fl studio
Can anybody give me a step by step to link my keyboard volume knob to a pitch knob on fl studio?
Which gain/volume control should I use mixer or soundcard?
Hi all,
I am trying to get my levels sorted so that when I record an instrument the volume bars in my recording application (in my case Cubase sx 3) are just below the yellow and not clipping (not to loud, not too quiet).
So I put all of the volume/gain control to neutral but found the level was too low.
Monitoring System Volume Control
Ok, I have, in the past, worked with my DAW and Interfaces volume controls to control my monitoring system's volume. After reading John Scrips post in another post, I have seen that this is much, much less convenient than having something like the Avocet to control volume.

Pan controls are acting like a volume control
howdy all...first post here and hope you can help.
At our church we have a Yamaha MG16 mixer. anyways. a couple weeks ago everything was fine. then we come in for practice and the pan controls are all jacked up and are acting like volume controls. Unless you keep them centered they will either raise the volume if you pan left or decrease volume if you pan right.
DIY Headphone Volume Control
In my quite compact home studio, my rackmount headphone amp works fine, however I'd like to put a more versatile setup together for location work. It looks like I'll have a big gig in the near future which will involve headphones widely distributed on a stage.
