Metal Vox

I have a session Tuesday for my final project. I am tracking on an SSL 4056 G+ console. I am tracking and mixing a metal band, what is the best Mic and Mic technique for recording vocals that will sing and scream? My Mic locker goes like this. AKG

Line 6 PodxtLive vs VOX Tonelab SE

I guess this is a poll question, but I'd like to take it a step further.
Not only would I like all you pros/semi-pros to choose which one you would use, if you could only use one, but please give a brief description why.
Keep in mind I am a bang for the buck, middle of the road project studio. I've done my own research, but am still on the fence.

recording ac gtr & voice at the same time?

Hello am soon to embark on recording a singer song writer, a dude and his gtr. In the past i have recorded vox a lot and acoustic gtr a fair bit but never at the same time, well not seriously anyway. I wanna get a good pro result not too ambient sounding, something like Nick Drake or etc etc.
