About to get a couple of hardware de-essers. The only ones I've used are the dbx 900-series which I thought was very nice. Any other options at a reasonable price ? I need 4 channels, tired of the plugin ones.

If your looking for hardware de-essers then the two you need to try are the BSS 402

I have used the DBX 902, The BSS 402 and the Drawmer MX50. I sure liked the Drawmer, and for the price you can't beat it!
Good Luck,

I just picked one up a month ago or so off of Ebay for pretty cheap, and as RM mentions, it works pretty well, especially for the price!
have you tried the TDM waves de-esser? it is quite good.
