Ok- been searching for bryston or hafler amps to buy used but I've had absolutely no luck...
has anyone tried this 2x250 at 4ohm reference amp? Would anyone be able to rate it out of 10
I'm more concerned about it giving me vERY good results, until I buy a better mixing board and a bryston (in a year or so). Perhaps not this amp...
for me, very good would be a vast, huge improvement over krk's rockit 8" pair.

I just bought one (Alesis 500) to replace a QSC 1450 which had a fan and i must say I'm really happy with it so far. When I first powered it up with my monitors I found it to be quite punchy and solid (and it has less wattage than the QSC 1450). The specs (THD at least) were actually better than the QSC and the owner of the company that makes my monitors gave it a thumbs up. I'd love to have a Bryston but keep buying other gear first ; ) I may hate it next week but for now I'm really satisfied.
