Hi all,
My first post here, as you can see. This place looks like a mix of professionals and people who don't know the first thing, which is sometimes a good thing. Unfortunately in this case, I'm the latter.
My uncle - a folklore archivist - is looking to convert an audio file of a 78rpm record that was recorded at 33rpm. So he needs the correct speed ratio between the two to digitally convert the file to the right speed. So he emailed his engineer nephew.
Would it just be a simple division of 78 by 33 1/3? It almost seems like that would be too simple.
Then again, E=MC2 is simple too...
thanks,
Matthew

If the original was at 44,100 samples/sec, setting the sample rate to 103,194 samples/sec should do the trick.
