HardDrives are the largest bottle-neck on a PC hands down. Get a faster drive, faster controller, or larger internal cache, and you're guarunteed to improve your overall machines performance.

Should be the first component that gets upgraded in any PC!

Opus, I thought you were against the WD's under 120GB. Change of heart or am I misunderstood?

By the way, one of my Maxtor 80GB ATA/133s with the 2MB Cache just failed. Fortunately it was an office PC and not my home prize.

Yes...but from what I have heard they repaired, or revised I should say, the mainboards so it's A OK to use em again!!!
