I have 8 mics on my kit. 2 C1000 cond's overheads. sm57 under snare, 3 matching Audix mics on each tom a sm57 on the high hat and a brand new AKG D112 on the kick. Now i run that through my mixer direct outs into my 002R direct ins. When i do that should i pan on the mixer or in PTLE? or both? How bout EQ? I use the mixer cause the pres are better. Thanks

I would definetly use the better pres to track and do the rest in protools. You can go back and change things later if you don't like how mix (pans) is sounding. Hope you get more suggestions thougth.....trying to help 8-)
