Hi RAIN, Have you been looking online? I got my DF7's from http://www.vacuumtubes.com (AX7's there also). If you google vacuum tubes, there are several online vendors for NOS tubes. At the very least, the first site has great descriptions of what the different models were originally designed for and sometimes their general tonal qualities. He has a 12AX7 page with all the alternate designs & models listed. An option I've heard of but not tried is a 12AT7. It's a popular replacement for AX7 in guitar amps for its warmth. Jon, thanks for the reply. That site you listed is where I went to find them. The guy told me he was out of them and no idea when he would get them in since they are no longer being made. Maybe I'll try to get some 12AT7's for now until I can find some 12df7's. I'll google today and see if any other vendors have the 12df7's.

He's in Florida. I've never ordered anything there, but I recall he has a decent inventory. Also, try the Yellow Pages for any leftover TV repair shops in your area.
