I'm using Digital Performer right now with a 2408 setup but may be able to purchase Logic Pro very cheaply. I'm thinking of using it for mobile recording and wanted to know what is the best non-Digidesign audio interface to use with just Logic Pro (no Pro Tools involved).
Feel free to throw out any Mac solutions (PCI or Firewire).

I'm not sure whether it will be mobile or not but I am looking toward Firewire audio units. I eventually want to go mobile with this but right now it will probably be on a G4 tower.

I have two MOTU 828s (each has 8 x ADAT, 8x line, 2xSPDIF 2 x super inputs (with phantom power and a dedicated pre).
I use them with logic and at the moment the only problem I have is that Logic will (unlike DP) only let me use them one at a time.
I have heard that this situation will be remedied with the New OS (Tiger) / upgrade of Logic (7.1).
