I have a pair of nice expensive tannoy monitors that sound muddy and muffled. The tweeters work but they dont sound crisp or clear. I use a pair of Sony 7506's and there is a world of difference in quality and clarity between these phones and my speakers. I have a cheap fostex board (454) and am running thru a carver pm-300 amp from the monitor outs of the board. The speaker cables are good quality and the cables are the banana type. I have already checked that the polarity matches. The speakers can be bi-amped but I don't think they have to be. There is a conductor that comes wth the speakers to connect the two sets of terminals on the back. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

yah the jumpers reach both connectors. anything that goes thru that board seems like it seriously lacks high end. also my mixes come out way more deep bass and high highs than i expected. maybe it has to do with the amp not pushing them hard enough. they are tannoy pbm 8 II's the amp is 150w per channel. any ideas?
