It's not possible! People can record what they can hear, one way or another. Accept it. Currently there is still no reasonable copy prevention that doesn't turn your sound to slop. Your best protection is to copyright your material and to phonogram your recording. If somebody wants to steal what you have done, they will figure out a way, so just stay in the closet and never come out and in that way no one can hurt you, including the boogie monster.

Dude, fact is... Even with copy protection, all you have to do is set cubase to record the output nof your soundcard and you're lft with an MP3 on a track which is what i think Remmy did?

There is no such thing as 100% copy protection.

Your best bet is making a flash player, try http://www.hotscripts.com, hey might have one.

I just dropped by and there is a lot of legal mis-information, bad advice about zoning, bad advice about contracts, &c, &c.

And here in this thread, there is even stupider advice.

Of course you can't keep people from copying stuff.

But it is way basic to stream stuff in ways that don't leave an obvious, immediate copy on the desktop.

Just encode wma files for windows media player, and then either invest some money in a real server (which is expensive really does make it difficult to copy media) or put the link in an xml file (like an asx file) that tells WMPlayer to stream the progressive dopwnload rather than to download then play.

This leaves a copy on the computer, but it is in temporary internet files and is not obvious to most teeny-boppers.

google wmv streaming progressive, and look for the microsoft page on how to enable asf.

There are other ways to stream a progressive download in other formats, but that is just the one I use.

I have been spending some time trying to get the code for streaming. I got some php code that does the streaming part. It's obvious that anyone can make a recording of anything that they hear on their computers, but most people don't have top end gear as people in this forum do, and so it is less of an issue. My regular visitors are spiders and robots of sort that crop mp3 files and that's what I am trying to protect myself from at this point.
