i thought i'd post to try to get some suggestions on what to save for in my next couple pro audio purchases. i record mainly rock (recent projects can be heard at http://www.myspace… and http://www.myspace…). i'm currently working with the following gear:
- -digi002
- -groove tubes brick
- -chameleon labs 7602
- -Shure sm57 (3)
- -Audix i5
- -at4040
- -kel hm1
- -studio projects c4 matched pair
- -mxl 603
- -Audix d4
thats my humble list of gear. i've been leaning towards a couple things for my next purchases, including a digi002 mod from black lion audio (http://www.blacklio…) and the music production toolkit from Digidesign to increase my track count to 48.
any suggestions are greatly appreciated and will help me out a ton. slowly but surely i hope to develop my studio into a well rounded place that can cater to lots of different kinds of genre's and projects. thanks in advance!

whoops, i left that off. i'm monitoring through krk v8's. thank you for mentioning that. i've read the many posts about the importance of great monitors. i have room to grow in that area, but i've found the v8's the be rather accurate, especially in the room that i'm in.

While I could list dozens of units of gear that you might need or want, you don't seem to list monitor speakers. Monitor speakers are a must. Great monitor speakers make a difference and also are a must. Before you ask about monitors, do your self and everybody else a favor and use the search engine as monitor speakers have be vor and discussed in great length and many times already.
