Sample rates Quest.

If you have the capability to record at higher sampling rates than 44.1 should you.

say for instance 44, 48, 96khz etc. just a quick thought.

It depends...what kind of production is it and will your system be able to handle those conditions?

just basically tracking vocals.

And my system should be able to handle it. A higher sample rate requires a little more memory right.

I run XP on pc (AMD ATHALON 1.53Ghz-768 ram

a little more ram and a heck of a lot more CPU power...

If you can do so effectively, I'd work at 96. If not, I'd work at 48.
