Hi there,
I have a prblem with analog recording two guitars simultaneously on the left and right channel in Cakewalk.

First i plugged in two guitars directly into the left and right channel of my ESI juli@. Both channels show in the ESI monitor and also on the ESI output monitor output. From this i know my hardware is functioning this far.

In Cakewalk i made two audiochannels like this:

Channel 1:
Input to = Asio 2.0 > ESI Juli@ L: Juli@ 1/2 left channel (I can choose left, right and/or stereo).
Output to = Asio 2.0 - ESI juli@ L: Juli@ 1/2

Channel 2:
Input to = Asio 2.0 > ESI Juli@ L: Juli@ 1/2 Right channel (I can choose left, right and/or stereo).
Output to = Asio 2.0 - ESI juli@ L: Juli@ 1/2

note: I assumed the first letter 'L:' is not standing for the 'left' channel because i can not choose 'R'. In 'L' I can choose for ESI 1/2 left, right and stereo input channels (analog) at a inputdropdownbox . But maybe i am wrong?

Now the right channel is working fine but the left channel is not giving any respons. While the ESI monitor is showing me both inputs en outputs.

It must me my lack off technical knowhow.
Can somebody please tell me what i am doing wrong? I have a feeling that the internal routing of the ESI is not functioning.
Wy does Sonar see the rightchannel comes in and the leftchannel not?

I updated the Asio driver (2,9) and everting is looking fine.

Help me!
your sincerely

Don.

Hello audiokid,
First, thanks for your quick reaction. I will tell you my results of my tests, wich i did after your question.

Here is a screenshot of cakewalk. http://www.zone4.nl/file/13567/juli@test

I strongly think the jul@'s left channel busrouting is damaged. why? because i loaded 2 softsynths (bdf drums). One input set to left, the other to the right. Both routed to two corresponding output buses (master left and right)
All is working good!

When i do the same with the analog inputs of the juli@ (left/right) i only get the right channel. The ESI-monitor (delivered with the juli@) does shows both inputs. Somewere inside the juli@ something is going wrong.

I allready wrote Thomann's (Germany) were i bought it. I assume i can send it in for repair or replacement.
Or do you have any other tips?

Good luck, lets us know how you make out.

Hi audiokid,
Gues what, the juli@ works again. Stupid of me not thinking about this earlyer  . I removed all the Juli@ drivers in the device manager and installed them again. The left channel is back :P
All this trouble because of a little driver... But i,m glad it works!
Thanks again for your help.
yours,
Don
BTW, the sound of the Juli@ is great.
