Are we talking a reverb setting here?If so, I dont know a lot of folks using any or at least a 'hall' setting on a kick drum....seems like you'd have a problem getting the BOOM out of a mix...Thats just my opinion.Kik is supposed to be "dry and tight' in my thinking...Again thats just me............

I use a plate or room verbs for the drums and other elements in a mix. But I don't use a seperate one for each drum .... so I don't get the meaning of the original post. I like to use a "common" verb for several elements in a mix, especially if they are all related to the rhythm track. This makes everything sound as if it happened in the same "space". Only occasionally will I add verb to the kick or hi hat. Usually spill from the other mics is enough to add some ambiance to these elements..

I usually use a plate and sometimes a room for the snare, and then often a room or ambience preset on the whole kit. Sometimes the kick gets a whole Eventide dedicated to it to get that way low end octave rumble and a combo of a very short microdelay and small room reverb.

I almost never use a reverb on drums, because I use two omni mics as overheads.
With that I have enough room sound, I like that purity.
I use reverb when the drums need to be a little more big sounding.

If you use different reverb settings on everything, the music will start to sound like science fiction. That's not bad, but keep it in mind.
