Hi,
I did a vid on a very nice recording technique for getting good separation between a vocalists vocals while playing the guitar.

Robin - It's a good start, but if your studio is selling video production services, you should add more polish. At the very least, write out your script, edit it down to the essentials, use cue cards. You could easily cut the time of this in half with identical info. You explain things well, and its a good demo; but it could be tightened up.

It may be a decent way to promote your studio to have it done on higher quality film with better audio/script. This way, people can get this handy tip and potential customers see how professional the studio seems and also that you know your stuff. I know it's always nice to have high quality tip videos from a company, just seems pro.
Still, good stuff!

I know, this is the general idea at some point. This vid however was done by me alone in the studio, one take:P kinda off the bat really. I wasnt expecting it to be so long.
The next vid will be better structured. I'll post it here if you guys are interested in seeing it :)
Thanks for all the feedback, it has been really helpful.

I don't do video either but I'm heavily researching it. My chamber concerts and student auditionees are asking for it even though they haven't quite realized that's what they are asking for. And I'm somehow supposed to spec an idiot proof concert recording setup for two different school concert auditoriums that include if not video at least the baluns and wiring for two camera points. I think it's getting to be inevitable for small timers like me or even medium size shops. YMMV
Definitely a good technique that everyone should know. Nice vid
