External harddrive spinning but not starting.

Hey, my big external HD with all my samples (DKFHS, etc) has kinda died on me.

It will start spinning when i turn it on and it gives me one of the little clicks that Hard discs make but then nothing.

I've taken it apart, all seems in order so i stuck it back together and started it up. It registered!

Then i restarted windows and it won't reigster again anymore..
I can feel the disc spinning but it's not doing anything.

How can i remedy this?

You didn't say whether or not you used any kind of disk utility on it.
Try switching it to another computer and see if it comes up.

pull the drive out and connect it inside your comp, the external interface may be failing, esp if its not being recognized. If it works run it for a couple days to see if it gives you any trouble as an internal drive, if not you can buy an other external box
