This audio file was posted many times, but they all play fine for me. The bug mentioned was sometimes the embedded player did not show up, is this the symptom.

Same. It disappears when I hit play, as it does with others on Windows using Firefox. It will play if I assign it to play using Windows Media Player or Quicktime, but it won't play using your player. Anything 192 and under will play.

Note, this seems to only be with Firefox and Windows. Explorer works. But many of us don't use Explorer.

FWIW, the latest files that both you and Andy posted played fine for me, and I'm still using FireFox.

Since we have you, and I am just learning about this, will this play AAC 384, the itunes mp3 version? Which is suposed to be so close to 44.1 16 bit CD quality that is would be hard to hear the difference? This will be the next request indeed.

Looks like AAC audio files will have the .m4a extension which is not supported by the HTML5

Not only does this work, this is the first time that I've uploaded an MP3 here where it sounds exactly like it's supposed to sound!

One of the things that I think Sound Cloud did, was to alter or "narrow" my stereo image, or, to make it sound "false", it's hard to describe... but at the end of the song above, from around 2:30 and out, I have some vocals and claps happening that I had produced using reverb and detailed panning of the pre-delay on the verb, and this is the first time I can actually hear that happening - just as it sounds on my original wav file here.
