I just ran through all the tweaks. Great advice.

There was just one thing that seemed strange to begin with and I even had trouble performing the tweak.

It was unchecking write caching for the main drive to improve read speed. Isn't, performance, the main goal disk caching?

First of all, how is disabling a write cache gonna speed up reads?

The problem that I had was that even though you right click on a particular drive, you have to go through a a screen that then lists all the drive by type. Since I have 2 drives of the same type there is no way for me to distinguish which is the main drive and the instructions say explicitly to only modify the main drive.

PS: I assume main drive refers to the primary partition with the OS on it.
