I have 2 questions about SAMP

1 : Are spline based curves not allowed in automation ? and is the resolution of 1024 steps enough when logic claims sample accurate automation ?

2: I want to use stereo sidechaining but can't see a way to do so in the same way as in Cubase e.g. crunchessor. Are only the builtin effects allowed for surround configurations ?

What are "spline based curves?" I find the fader automation adequate, but not fantastic. I do most of my automation at the object level through the use of splitting tracks and raising or lowering levels there. That is where the real power of Samplitude lies...

Sidechaining isn't in Samp unfortunately. Someday perhaps? You can only put the built in effects on the surround masters, but you can put any effect on an individual surround channel- Native, VST or DX.
