I put this under this topic, because shipping problems have caused me money expenses in the resent past and I wanted to know who you guys recommend using if you have exp. gear sold on ebay or you bought from a place like ebay or wherever...

I need to ship a rack case, BUT I am certain that UPS an/or FedEx will bust it all up. And the USPS is not ANY better.
Who can be trusted not to break it into a million pieces?
The rack case is appox 4 foot tall and 22 inches wide and is about 20 to 30 pounds.

We have had the best luck with FEDEX. UPS has been a real problem lately for shipping anything. I agree that it depends on the packing and the will of the gods of shipping. I got a piece of equipment shipped to us via UPS and although the package looked good the insides were completely smashed. The company that sent us the material replaced it without us having to file a cliam but I am not sure if we had filed the claim we would have gotten any money out of it since the outside packaging was intact and there were no visable marks, rips or tears. I have no idea how the material inside got shattered but it was shipped to us during the winter and may have been subjected to extreme cold and then extreme heat. We ship al of our masters back to our clients via USPS Priority or Express Mail and find that to be very good.

Hope this helps.

yea i know people that work for ups, out of the big three just go with whoever is cheapest. if its a rack see if you can breack it down. if you cant then brace up the sides from the inside. if its a really nice wood finish then cover with cloth then the thinlayer foam then bublewrap it and brace the insides. remember when sell to write buyer pays for all shipping. i sell a lot of car radios and sutch on ebay i always charge a flat fee for shipping some people pay more then there shipping some people pay less for shiping(then what it really cost to ship) in the end it all works out.
