i looked through the manual a bit .... it looks just like an older version of Cubase i used to use ...

if you have a computer that will run it, i would suggest trying StudioOne free or Reaper ... easier programs to navigate.

The manual actually gets installed in a folder when you install the program. Version 6 isn't that old. In the timeline you should be able to right click/insert tempo/time signature change or you could click on a location and go to Insert/tempo change. When you mix down, the left and right locators are tabs in the time line that mark the beginning and the end of your project. If you do any punch ins or editing within your song, these can change so when you are ready to mix down, make sure you set your left and right locators to the beginning and end of your project.
