Thanks Kurt. Vocals and most of the guitars were recorded a long time ago (10-12 years) in my home studio using AKG C3000, some cheap audio inteface, Logic 3 or 4, Line 6 pod and some cheap guitar. Now for the rest of the tracks I've used Logic X, Apogee Duet, Slate SSD4 drums, Godin el.gtr and a lot of plugins from Waves, Slate, Izotope etc.

what impresses me the most, now that you've told us how you recorded this, is how you have created a sense of "space / dimension" in the mix. even on my laptop speakers i can hear it. it goes to show that with a little talent and the ability to really play, itb mixes can sound acceptable. it's evident you listen to music that uses a lot of outside chords and you really understand orchestration. do i hear some Steely Dan in there? i can only wonder what you would be able to do in a studio with pro hardware and real acoustic spaces .... this is almost the "perfect demo" ... something that would make an investor want to get involved. good stuff!

Thank you for your kind words, Kurt.
"A sense of space and dimension" may be due to vintage emulation plugins that I used. The reverbs/delays were from Valhalla and Waves. And yes, I really love to make a bit different chord progressions every now and then:)
Thanks again

There is only one thing wrong with your song recording. It's not Alright it's better than Alright! In fact I'd have to say it's Fabulous Crazy All Right!
I am particularly particular and very fond of great vocals. That was out of sight! You nailed that perfectly.
All the audibles spacing is great. There isn't anything I couldn't hear and anything I couldn't pick out. Now that's what real audio engineering is all about. And even from those extremely old and compromised tracks... that doesn't mean anything. The musical talent is there. It was a real performance!
I have to admit though, I did get a bit of a chuckle, when I had heard what I thought was initially analog tape noise? I figured that was probably something from those 10-12-year-old tracks? Maybe not? It certainly didn't interfere with my enjoyment. In fact, I kind of felt, it was supposed to be there? It kind of gave me the perception of there was something real there? Or maybe reel there? Both.
I think that is a production, that could very well spark an important person in our industry, that could change your life forever? And it's really because of those vocals in and above everything else. At least in my book. That's the most important thing to me. Not the lyrics. Just the sound. I can't comprehend lyrics? I don't have the ability to comprehend lyrics. It's weird. Lyrics are merely different sounds that the musical instrument called the voice, can make. I picked up a word here and there, sometimes. That's not from anything you did wrong. That's just me. I remember sounds I don't remember words. I don't know if that's normal? Or my actual brain damage? How would I know? I'm brain-damaged. A little over nine years post, brain surgery. But I've always been like that and so has brain damage. I get moved by a performance. This most definitely moved me. And I do love your online handle! It's perfect! IMacCartney. Nice alignment to that name. It fits so nicely with your quality and substance.
What you have here is loaded with fabulous Performance Value. Maybe you should send a copy of this to Sir Paul? It couldn't hurt?
I also like Kurt's extra vocal suggestions. Just a little more je ne sais quoi. But generally, I don't think it really needs a thing? Fine just as it is. It's real Art. I usually don't suggest that people change their own real art. It's the ones that don't have any art, where I'll make suggestions. The ones that can demonstrate your kind of superlative talent, I would never recommend that they make any changes. Not when I know I've heard a true artist. Most are not. My folks were. I am. You most definitely are. You are a rare bird. The question is, would you make a good soup?
No need for an audition. I think you've made it to the Finish line? Bravo. Encore! Encore!

I'm jealous - You've got the vox riding on top of some intense guitar parts. Not a small feet, and something I'm struggling with, but you seemed to have joggled the frequencies just right, so that the guitars and vox coexist comfortably. Are the vocals double tracked and effected with an aural exciter or haas effect plug-in for thickness?
