The AT4060 does not have the hyped high end of other mics. I find that depending on the source or person and song style that it mates well to any high quality mic pre. I've use and have used mine with great sucess on a Focusrite Red-7, AMEK/NEVE CIB, BA Neve 1272, Neotek MicMAX, Manley VoxBox, API 512C, Vintech x73 & x81.

Audio technica mics have a very pronounced high end so a "neutral" pre would not be my first choice, I would go with something that adds some color to it.
Anything with transformers on the inputs and outputs is a good start. This would include (on the lower price end) the Sebatron vmp mic pre series or if you want to spend more, I really like the Great River MP-NV mic pres.. I think the Seb comes in a single channel unit and I am positive the Great River does..
