Hey some new drums have come out and I've decided to check out how well they can work in a mix.

The signal chain was really simple: EQ, Compressor, Limiter - gentle settings on everything.

The kick/snare is a bit louder so you can hear it better, since they are the main focus of this review.

What's your opinion?
Cheers!

These drums sound pretty much like most modern drum samples I've heard. I guess if they work for you, then that's all that matters.

Hey Donny, yeah these samples are mainly for modern metal so you were right about it :)

get some mics and use your time to learn how record a real drummer instead of spamming web sites.

I am not gonna lie. One of the reasons I've posted this was cause I've known it was just a matter a time for you to jump in the thread.

Plus, I was so sure that you'll mention something about mics, that I've won a $30 bet cause of it.

Sorry but the samples have been recorded with a real drummer using real mics. I get it (the whole forum gets it) that you dislike samples, modern metal, any anything related to being modern, but please stop bringing this up on every simple thread. We got it. You are a vintage guy and dislike samples and love mics.

I am not sure what you're hating more. Me mixing? Modern Metal? Or the samples? I guess all? But I've asked for opinions , you told me that this clip sucks so I will accept it, thanks for taking the time to respond.

May I ask your opinion about the [[url=http://[/URL]="http://www.amazon.c…"]Kemper Profiling Amp?[/]="http://www.amazon.c…"]Kemper Profiling Amp?[/] I really don't to want to "fight" on this thread I am just curious to know your opinion about this kemper thing. You just plug it direct to the audio interface and have superb tones. 0 mics just plug and play.

Thanks both for your time :)

so you were baiting me? and now you think you can tell me what i can or cannot say in my posts? and you think you speak for "the whole forum"? who are you?

regardless, the drums still sound like corn popping and the guitars still sound sound like something is gargling in the background. nothing changes that. and you think you can be the one to call me out?

you're right. i'm an organic guy. i've used drum machines sure but given a choice i will take a real drummer every time, in spite of my general low opinion of people who make a living hitting objects. i'm not alone in this. the majority of real records are using real drums and players these days. the drum machine and midi production fad is a thing of the past. you seem to have a very misconstrued vision of what is "modern". at least i know how to do fakeo drums and the real thing. can you say the same or do you limit yourself to midi drums and amp sims only? are the only sounds you can do ones that someone else already recorded? that's like someone cutting pictures out of a magazine and pasting them together and saying "look what i did".

anyone can pull up samples and plug in a modelling amp. not everyone can set up mics and get good drum tones ... i don't like plug and play solutions. no art to it. any moron can get a tone with that stuff and after a while it all sounds the same. i also dislike solutions that make it possible for one person to do an entire full blown production by themselves

i have a Vox amp (one of the ones with a BBQ grill ) that does modelling but i usually just dial up a Fender or Marshall tone and go with it. i do love how the thing gives me a live feel off the amp back in the guitar. that has to do with a tube in the output that affects the impeadence to the speaker ..

i realize now that you have posted before (i don't remember any of them though) and your post is not spam, that's just part of your sig line.
