I have free access to these mics (in matched pairs): Neumann M49, Neumann M149, Neumann M250, Neumann M269, Coles 4038 and RCA MI 6203. Which ones would you choose to record a Yamaha C7? My mixing console only allows for 6 simultaneous mono mics. Thanx!

It's difficult to make a meaningful choice of microphone until you know the characteristics of the room you will be recording in, the type of material to be performed, and the purpose of the recording. Miking for recording a classical solo piano public recital is very different from studio miking a piano in a jazz quartet. The C7 is sufficiently versatile to be used in either of these two situations, but you would choose the type and positioning of the microphones very differently in the two cases.
