I am finally going to build my own studio, and quite my retail job.
I am wondering where I could get a Soundcraft Ghost for cheap, but of course good working condition (you get what you pay for right). If anyone has some ideas, please get back to me.
Thanks, Tyler.

You'll pay a lot less for the LE model and sans meter bridge. Both have significant merits, especially the meter bridge for impressing clients.

Being able to MIDI mute channels can really clean mixes up a great deal. It's easy to downplay that.

But if you're looking for savings, I'd advise that.

Some may tell you to get an older better board for the money. They are right, as long as you don't mind spending a lot time tinkering and doing maintenance.

Still, you're much better off with the Ghost as compared to a Mackie.

A couple of things to consider when purchasing a used Soundcraft Ghost:

Try to find one with the upgraded power supply (I'm not sure the model number of the power supply but a google search should turn it up)

You'll probably want to replace and upgrade the Control Room level pot because they get really scratchy really quickly.

The headphone jack on the front/center under the arm rest can develop an intermittent connection. This may screw up the muting of the Control Room monitor outs. It might need to be fixed/replaced.

Overall, I think these are a good bang for the buck console. I have a 32LE that has served me well on a daily basis since 1997 (when I bought it new) Good Luck!

Hi Tyler,

Try this link http://www.riksmusic.com/soundcraft/soundcraftus.htm

They qouted me back in May. The Ghost 32 was $5800.00 and
the LE32 $5100.00. The meterbridge was $790.00. They might
be higher now , but give them a shot ,if you want new.
I know new Soundcraft ghosts and meterbridges are on
backorder (30 Plus Days) from Soundcraft.
I just got the Ghost 32 two weeks ago, but I'm still waiting for the meterbridge.
I actually got mine from Dale Pro Audio in NY,great place to deal with.
They gave me a deal on the Ghost, but I also bought alot of other gear with it.

Hope this Helps
Tom
